Hit by bad luck nine years ago a powerful actor in Kannada cinema Renuka Prasad is on wheel chair after spending lakhs of rupees to recoup for his drawback.

Renuka Prasad was in Bangalore at Gold Finch Hotel to receive the financial support for his medical bills from team of ‘Nimbe Huli’ and also from producer E Krishnappa.

A post dated cheque for Rs.30000 was handed over by Hemanth Hegde to Renuka Prasad after offering shawl and fruit basket to him. E Krishnappa present on the spot also announced Rs.10000 for the ailing actor.

How is Renuka Prasad after nine years of ill health? I am doing routine work and acted in ‘Kaddi Pudi’ of director Soori with Shivarajakumar, Radhika Pandit and Rangayana Raghu in the combinations says Prasad.

I was assured a role at the release of Ganesh Kasargod book at GM Rejoys. I was under the impression it was told timely to please me. But director Soori was very serious. I received a phone call one day and was told shoot will be held in Mysore. I was as usual on the wheel chair and shoot was held for four days. I also did the dubbing in two hours in a studio of Mangala Sathyan son Ravi in Mysore.
